What is the best way to prevent obesity

Like other countries of the world, the people of Pakistan are also facing health problems due to obesity. Although the data in this regard is not available, however, according to experts, approximately one-third of the country's population is overweight.

Not only this, but 10 to 15 percent of the total population of the country i.e. more than two crore people are regularly suffering from obesity.

However, unlike developed countries, there is a lack of awareness in Pakistan regarding the causes of obesity and the seriousness of its harmful effects on health.

This is the reason why the trend of obesity is high especially in the young generation. This becomes more dangerous when the proportion of young people in the total population of Pakistan is about 60%.

The problems of the present generation regarding obesity and the complications arising from it are twofold. One is a simple rule of thumb, eating too much and not exercising will make you fat. However, in this age of innovation, the factors that add to such lifestyles include junk food and fast-paced lifestyles.

A healthy lifestyle that includes eating, sleeping, waking up and exercising on time becomes difficult to achieve. These are the issues that the young generation is at least aware of.

However, according to experts, there are some factors that cause obesity which either most of the people are not aware of or they are wrongly being used as a means

Is everyone who overeats necessarily fat?

This is generally true, but not necessarily so. Why is it that two people who eat the same diet and do not exercise, one is thin and the other is obese?

The first lesson is that diabetes is not a disease.

Nine Facts About Longevity

Dr. Faisal Masood, a specialist in internal medicine and has extensive teaching experience in the field of medicine, says that each person's ability to absorb food or use calories is different. The beneficial microbes found in some people's guts also create hidden calories for them.

Something similar happened to 24-year-old Nawal Rizwan, a resident of Lahore. They started consuming junk food i.e. low nutritional food like burgers, pizza, pakodas, samosas and cold drinks from an early age.

She says: 'I went from 70kg to 125kg which has brought me down to 115kg after exercise over the last six months.'

He has not had any health problems from this till now, but due to obesity, he must have faced social pressure and that proved to be the motivation for him to lose weight.

How about societal pressures on obesity?

Nawal Rizwan says, “There is social pressure and there is also pressure from the family. You also have to fit in the society, repeated taunts are not tolerated.

However, Nawal says that she wants to look good herself and continues to strive for that. She plans to regain her 70 kg weight by controlling her diet and walking.

More and more young men are hitting the gym these days, but most women find it impossible to do so for a number of reasons.

This is heavily influenced by stereotypes associated with the disease and exercise. Nawal Rizwan says that she does not go to the gym for exercise, but walks in the field in front of her house.

In youth comes old age

However, 27-year-old Nasir Ali is among those who have the resources and time to work out at a good gym in Lahore.

He runs his own business and according to him, he has lost about 26 kg in the last eight months under the guidance of a nutritionist and under the supervision of an exercise specialist.

Due to a sedentary lifestyle and eating a lot of pizza and burgers, his weight reached 106 kg, due to which he began to suffer from walking and sitting up and other problems. The amount of uric acid in his body had increased.

'My posture changed as I gained weight. When he used to sit, he did not want to get up, so he remained sitting. Thus my life became very slow.

He said that the reason he went into this lifestyle was because his routines were irregular. I had no time to sleep. In this way, there was no routine of eating, he ate whatever he could find and ate a lot of burgers etc. Still, life was extremely dull and sluggish.

However, when he decided to give up this lifestyle and adjust his routine, it did not prove difficult for him to find time for himself.

A person who says he has no time for himself is wasting his life. I feel 200% better and more efficient since I started working out.'

He believes that the youth should strive for such an effective lifestyle as much as possible and not care about anyone else.

However, it is often difficult for obese people to get rid of this fear.

Dr. Faisal Masood says that the best way to avoid obesity is to eat less.

A loaf of bread gives you around 70 to 80 calories and you have to walk at least 1.3 kilometers to digest it. It is more difficult to do this or to exercise, so it is better to eat less.
